Armando began his career as a letter carrier at the Dover Post Office on June 17, 2000. Armando immediately took an active role in Branch 38, and advised his fellow carriers whenever management violated their rights.  At the request of the carriers in his office, he became an alternate shop steward in 2003.  In 2009, he was unanimously elected shop steward of the Dover Annex.

Throughout the years, Armando has held many positions with Branch 38.  They include: Route Examination Observer, OJI Instructor, CCA Academy Instructor, Career Conversion Class Instructor, CDRAAP Team Member & MDA Fundraiser Coordinator.

On January 1, 2016, he was appointed by President Michael O'Neill to be Part-Time Area Representative.  Armando graduated from Formal A & Beyond Training in September 2017 and Arbitration Advocate Training in March 2019, and has been utilizing that training to further represent Branch 38 members as one of our advocates.

Armando was elected by acclamation to the position of Trustee, assuming that position in January of 2019
